Information for Resellers
With the wide international distribution of casual games finding the right partner to ensure your consumers are comfortable with the level of questionable material is an important decision. Below you will find information you may need to fully understand the FFRC rating system. Please contact us if you have any questions. For more information on why every developer, publisher and distributor should consider using a standardized rating system, please see: The Need for Content Ratings.
FFRC Ratings Are Simple
The FFRC has adopted easy-to-follow age guidelines of a single number in conjunction with detailed content descriptors outlining questionable content. The FFRC’s age guidelines are easy to understand, thus reducing confusion for parents.
Restrictions
Parents and governments have become increasingly worried about mature content being accessible to minors without the knowledge of their parents. The FFRC does not rate video games with mature themes or games which perpetuate discrimination or hate crimes.
All games rated by the FFRC require compliance with government privacy policies for minors, specifically the FTC’s Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act and the Do Not Track standard of the EU.
Educational Materials
If you are a reseller distributing content rated by the FFRC, please contact us for training materials, flyers and consumer information.
